Irina Heuzé is a flute and piano instructor, as well as a flute soloist performer. She has worked with people all ages and levels, as well as disadvantage kids, such kids as with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), LD (Learning Disability), Autism (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), OCD (Obsessive-compulsive Disorder), and people with language difficulties. Irina always pays attention to technical side of the instrument, as well, as knowledge of the theory, musical styles, articulation and dynamics. That is why, it is very important to start with music notation, theory basics, technical pieces, such as scales, etudes and technical exercises, but never leave out pieces from romantic and classical periods, as well as modern and baroque. Irina is currently teaching in several music schools, as well as privately. Irina got her education in Russia, Moscow, in a well known Gnessin Music School for Gifted Children. She started piano at age 4, and flute at 8 years old, with well known flute professor of Moscow Conservatory A.V. Korneev.
Irina continue her study in the United States, at the San Francisco Music Conservatory and the San Francisco State University. She is a winner of several International Woodwind Competitions with the First Prizes. She also traveled abroad, as a flute soloist and as an ensemble member. Irina was a member of the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra for 5 seasons as a flute and piccolo player, and had a chance to take part in two International European Tours.
